This document explains exactly what AI Translator does and does not do with your information. We designed the extension around a simple rule: collect as little as possible, and never store what is not strictly needed. AI Translator only sends anything when you start an action: selecting text and clicking the icon, using the right-click menu, hovering while hover lookup is on, pressing the translate button for a whole page, or translating text you typed into the side panel. In those cases it sends the following to our translation backend at translate-api.vuhai.io.vn:AI Translator chỉ gửi đi khi bạn chủ động: bôi đen rồi bấm biểu tượng, dùng menu chuột phải, rê chuột khi đang bật tra cứu, bấm nút dịch cả trang, hoặc dịch văn bản bạn gõ vào khung dịch. The text is processed to produce a translation and the result is returned to your browser. We do not persist the text long-term, do not log it alongside your identity, and do not use it to train AI models. Ephemeral operational logs (IP + timestamp) are kept briefly for abuse prevention and rotated out automatically. For page translation, the page profile (topic, glossary) is cached in memory for 24 hours under a hashed key derived from the page address, so the same page does not have to be analysed twice; the cache is lost whenever the server restarts. Your settings are stored via chrome.storage.sync, which means they live in your Chrome profile and may sync across devices where you are signed in to the same Google account — but they never travel to our server. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing, analytics, or profiling. The only time your data leaves our system is when a translation request must be forwarded to the AI provider in order to produce the translation you explicitly asked for. Because we do not build a profile of you, there is typically no personal data to delete. You can revoke the extension's access at any time by uninstalling it from chrome://extensions. If you have a specific request (for example, confirmation that no data related to your IP is retained), email us at [email protected] and we will respond within 7 days. If this policy changes materially, we will update the Last updated date at the top and mention the change in the extension's release notes on the Chrome Web Store.
